Curchods are delighted to announce our partnership with Crossroads Care Surrey

Curchods in the Community

At Curchods, we are firm believers in giving back. Our ‘Curchods in the Community’ initiative is all about how we can leverage our successful business in a way that helps the communities we serve. That’s why we are passionate about collaborating with charities, clubs, schools and organisations that align with our values, and helping however we can.

We are delighted to announce our latest charitable partnership with Crossroads Care Surrey. Crossroads provide compassionate and quality care services designed to support those who care for loved ones of all ages and conditions. Carers across the UK experience many challenges and often make many sacrifices in order to undertake being a carer, and Crossroads’ mission is to enhance the quality of life for these individuals by giving them respite that they so greatly need.

It was important to us as an organisation that we were as educated and as knowledgeable as possible about what Crossroads do, what their clients need and exactly how we can assist. When we met with the Crossroads team, they explained to us that many of their clients need help when it comes to property. This can be in a variety of ways such as needing help understanding their options in terms of refinancing, selling and downsizing. It became apparent very early on in these meetings that there was a huge amount of alignment with both of our organisations in that helping people is at our core.

Each year, Crossroads Care must raise over £350,000 in order to provide the amazing services that they do. They can’t do this without support from charitable trusts and foundations, regular donors, community groups and corporate supporters. Our ongoing partnership with Crossroads will ensure that we add to the above, assisting the organisation and their clients. Not only this, but the ongoing advice we will provide Crossroads’ clients is a way that we can help alleviate as much stress as possible during what are very emotional circumstances.

Whilst we are at the initial stages of our partnership, there are many exciting plans ahead, such as downsizing events where our expert decluttering and downsizing expert Francesca will be on hand to provide tailored advice for unpaid carers. There’s also the highly anticipated ‘I’m a Director Get Me Out of Here’ event run by Crossroads themselves, taking place on 12th June during carers’ week, which ensures plenty of fun whilst raising all important funds. Our volunteers for the event are Rebekah Kinnaird, who works in our Lettings Administration team and Alex Bassett-Romo, Lettings Manager in our Woking branch. In addition, our experts will be on hand all year round to Crossroads clients, and we are proudly listed as the go-to organisation for anything property related in the Crossroads Carers’ directory.
