Curchods In The Community: I’m a Director Get Me Out of Here!

Events

We recently announced our partnership with Crossroads Care Surrey, a fantastic charity that gives respite to unpaid carers by providing quality care services that help them to do so.  There are 7 million carers in the UK and there are many challenges and sacrifices that come with being an unpaid carer. The work that the team at Crossroads Care do ensures that those using their services are given an opportunity to unwind, and indulge in activities they love, comfortable in the knowledge that their loved ones are in the expert hands of Crossroads Care support workers.

Carers Week runs in the UK from 8th – 12th June. As part of this, Crossroads Care Surrey are hosting a fantastic fundraising event called I’m a Director, Get Me Out of Here, taking place on Friday 12th June at Woking Football Club. As you might have guessed, the concept of the event centres around the similarly named hit ITV show. The day will involve several challenges that require determination and bravery, and will be a wonderful opportunity for like-minded individuals to come together in order to support a very worthy cause.

Each year, Crossroads rely on support from charitable trusts, corporate supporters, regular donors and community groups in order to raise over £350,000 – the amount needed annually for them to continue providing their services. I’m a Director Get Me Out of Here will be an ideal opportunity to help raise important funds that will contribute to this yearly figure. Two of our team, Woking Lettings’ Alex Bassett-Romo and Letting Administration’s Rebekah Kinnaird, have bravely volunteered to take part in the event. Our Joint Senior Partner Andrew Dewar has offered to match any donations that Alex and Rebekah raise, and we’re thrilled that we can help to make the event a great success, raising as much as possible!
