It’s now 30 years since John Slatter and Andrew Dewar acquired Curchods residential, which was established in 1938 by Peter Curchod.
Back in 1990, we were in the depths of the most serious recession since the 1930’s – a time for only honest and informed advice to our clients, because then as now, it was a devastating time albeit solely for economic reasons. Curchods have been recognised for straightforward advice ever since.
We remain a privately-owned company, still giving trusted, clear-cut advice and delivered in a very professional, but personal way. The interests of our clients is paramount, coming before profit and forms the basis of our ethos.
Andrew comments:

Our success in the last 30 years, without question has been down to our amazing people; our staff who have tirelessly provided outstanding levels of customer service and our wonderful customers, many of whom have used us several times over the years and recommended us to friends and family.
Many of our staff who are temporarily at home, have offered their services to our communities, mindful of social distancing, to assist with shopping, collection of medicines, etc., so feel free to pick up the phone and ask for help.
These are extraordinary and unimaginable times for us all and we acknowledge that social isolation can be difficult, especially for those living alone. Although we are not trained councillors, all of us at Curchods would be delighted to talk with anyone who would ‘just like to have a chat’.
