Full Description
Easterbrook is a unique family home sitting in a wonderfully private and tranquil setting on the outskirts of Ripley village. The house has a great deal of versatility to the way in which it can be used and in recent years has been lovingly and thoughtfully renovated with great attention to detail. Throughout the house rooms that are superbly proportioned also have a very appealing feeling of light with many of the rooms looking out over the stunning garden.
On the ground floor a large and welcoming reception hall has a beautiful wood floor and a wrought iron staircase that leads to the first floor. To one side of this double doors lead into a kitchen that has been superbly fitted out with a comprehensive range of crafted wood cabinets accompanied by an Aga, a deep Butlers sink and a range of appliances. At one end a bay window allows space for a breakfast table. At the far end of the kitchen is a door into the half panelled dining room, again with a beautiful wood floor.
The main sitting room sits on the back of the house and as such has a delightful view of the garden through a large window and two sets of double doors that lead out onto the terrace. At one end is a fireplace that houses a log burner. The sitting room measures some thirty three feet in length and is a wonderful space that works incredibly well with the garden.
Off the hallway there is also a snug that makes a delightful TV room or home office, this room also having a set of double doors that lead out onto the garden. Finishing off the ground floor accommodation there is a large double bedroom with built in wardrobes and a superb en suite shower room, a further double bedroom and a separate shower room with an adjacent WC.
From the hallway the staircase leads to the first floor where there is a fabulous landing sitting area with a bank of floor to ceiling windows that look across the rear garden. This is a space into which the light floods and continues to give the house a very comfortable and attractive feeling of openness.
Off the landing the master bedroom suite is an extremely comfortable double and again it has a lovely view over the rear garden. At one end a door leads into a very comprehensively fitted out dressing room and from there into a stunning en suite bathroom. The side wall of this room is fitted out with a bank of floor to ceiling electric glass which can be obscured by the flick of a switch. A freestanding bath sits to one side while on the other side twin oval sinks rest on a storage cabinet beneath.
On the other side of the landing is a guest bedroom which is an equally comfortable double with a bank of built in wardrobes and an en suite shower room.
All in all this is a house that has been created with enormous thought and attention to the detail of the finish which shines through in every space of the house.

Location
The historic village of Ripley is situated in a very accessible and convenient location just off the A3 north of Guildford. It is a village with a great deal of local history that comes through in the string of beautiful period buildings that line the High Street and which give it such a charming and pleasing feel. The village is surprisingly well stocked with local shops that very much cater for every day needs and has a number of traditional English pubs as well as several restaurants. Once a month there is a very popular farmers market on the village green which is purported to be one of the largest in England and where the local cricket club also resides and is very much a part of village life. A short drive from the house is the beautiful county town of Guildford with it's historic cobbled High Street and all the shops that you could wish for while in the other direction the A3 will take you to London and indeed connects with the M25 for those times when you have need of it's airports. Ripley as a whole is surrounded by miles of open countryside, much of which is almost on the doorstep, where you can walk along footpaths and waterways and a few minutes drive will take you out into the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are train stations at Clandon and Woking, the latter of which will see you reaching Waterloo in roughly 23 minutes.
