Curchods undertook a £50 challenge to raise money for Transform Housing & Support, Surrey’s largest supported housing provider and charity supporting socially excluded, vulnerable and homeless people across Surrey.
Curchods supplied each of their 21 branches with a £50 note during the summer of 2019 to grow and invest, with all proceeds being donated to Transform – the total amount raised was a staggering £7,238.71!
David Annand, Corporate & Community Fundraiser at Transform said “Curchods are the perfect partner for Transform due to the synergy we both have in providing housing across Surrey. I can’t thank their staff enough for getting involved and helping those across the county who are less fortunate. They really embraced the challenge by holding quiz nights, raffles, BBQ’s and taking part in the Prudential Ride London for us.”
Joe Dewar, Manager at Curchods Esher branch said “As a company, we’d been looking to support a local charity for homeless and vulnerable people so when Transform approached us, and we heard about the amazing work they do across Surrey and their £50 challenge event, it was a challenge we couldn’t refuse. Employee creativity and participation were vital to its success and our staff fully embraced it. We also noticed that the social media interaction with our followers were noticeably higher than normal as both our staff and customers enjoyed learning more about Transform’s work and seeing what our employees were doing to help those in their local community.”
David Annand went on to say “The £50 challenge was a new event for us and it was great to see just how well it was embraced by Curchods. Their support of events like this is essential to help us continue our life-changing work and make a real difference to people in need.”
