Help to Buy Available
With a Help to Buy Equity Loan the Government lends you up to 20% of the cost of your newly built home, so you’ll only need a 5% cash deposit and a 75% mortgage to make up the rest.
When you sell your Help to Buy home (unless you have chosen to repay your equity loan earlier), you must repay the Help to Buy assistance from a share of the sale proceeds. So, if Homes England assisted your purchase with a 20% contribution, your repayment will be 40% of the total market value when it is sold.

The Location: Hindhead
Hindhead is the highest village in Surrey, it is best known as the location of the Devil’s Punch Bowl, a huge natural amphitheatre gouged out of the earth and a beauty spot and site of special scientific interest.
The stunning countryside of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB) is literally on the doorstep and beckons to walkers and lovers of the great outdoors.
Located south-west of Guildford, on the border with the county of Hampshire, Hindhead was notorious for highwaymen in the 1700’s! Until 2011 the village was situated on the main A3 road between London and Portsmouth. In that year, a bypass was completed, reducing the amount of traffic passing through the village. The bypass includes the 1.9 mile twin-bore tunnel, the longest nonestuarial road tunnel in the UK.
The village has a variety of local amenities within walking distance, with a cafe, dentist and bicycle shop. Within a 5 minute walk is Hindhead Common a vast area of unspoilt countryside managed by the National Trust. A mile away in the village of Beacon Hill, Hindhead Golf Club can be found which ranks amongst the best of Britain’s heathland courses (and is great for sledging on rare now days) and Hankley Common Golf Course is also nearby. The nearby village of Grayshott offers more local amenities, plus the popular Grayshott Pottery and revered Grayshott Spa.

Nearby
Haslemere is the closest town at 3 miles away, with a more comprehensive selection of restaurants, supermarkets, national and independent retailers plus a mainline railway station.
The journey time from Hindhead to Haslemere station is less than 10 minutes, where commuters enjoy 4 regular trains per hour to Portsmouth and London Waterloo which can be reached in under 1 hour. Hindhead is served by two bus routes linking with Haslemere and Farnham.

The Developers
Ian Charles Cawkwell and Neil Lyndon Yeomans first met in 1976 where they both studied Estate Management at Reading University. Having forged what would become a life long friendship during their time at Reading, they embarked on separate career paths in property, Ian specialising in the residential and commercial development sector, Neil in the retail and leisure consultancy sectors.
Over the years they have worked together on a number of joint mixed use development projects, the most recent being Mero Retail Park in Bath (2016/17) – a complicated and ‘planning sensitive’ conversion of a Grade II Listed former industrial warehouse. Retail consent was achieved and redevelopment provided modern showroom space for Lidl, Hobbycraft, Pets at Home, Carpetright and Costa Coffee.
In addition the partners undertook the redevelopment of Enton Hall near Godalming – a prestigious development of 41 apartments and cottages around the original mansion house which dates back to 1881 and adjacent to Fleet Street London, the sympathetic restoration of three Grade II Listed Georgian Houses that had in recent times been used as offices.
The partners of Charles Lyndon Homes Ltd very much hope that with the support, dedication and skill of their design and construction teams, that they have created 12 new homes that will be a welcome landmark, sympathetic to the original house.
Ian and I have put our heart and soul into Broom Heights and we really hope that we have created 12 new homes that will do justice to the history and the heritage of Hindhead and this location.
