Health & Safety Procedures During Coronavirus Pandemic

In line with Government Guidance, we have taken positive and proactive steps to help keep our staff and clients safe during the Coronavirus pandemic. Below is a guide to how we are operating as a company, which will be different for us all, but with cooperation and understanding, this guide will enable home moves to successfully take place in as normal a manner as practical at this time.

Viewing Appointments in line with Government guidelines

No viewings can be carried out in a household which is isolating due to one or more family members having symptoms, or where an individual has been advised to shield.  Buyers and tenants are expected to disclose if they are in a similar position and in which case the viewing will be postponed.

Prior arrangements will be made before viewings in a household where somebody is clinically vulnerable but has not been asked to shield, such as the elderly, to avoid any face-to-face contact.

Occupants will be encouraged to vacate the property whilst viewings take place, but where this is not possible or where a purchaser/tenant or homeowner is clinically vulnerable, all parties must wear a face covering (PPE).

Guided Virtual Viewings are strongly encouraged where available. Physical viewings should only to take place where there is a genuine interest.

No “Open House Viewings” are permitted.

Property visits are limited to 2 adults and should only include the participants who are involved in the potential transaction.

Two-metre social distancing must be maintained at all times.

Face coverings are to be encouraged at all times. Purchasers/tenants are expected to provide their own face covering (PPE). If these are not available we can assist. Please speak to us in advance.

Shoe coverings, provided by the agent, are to be worn whilst inside a property and should be disposed of safely after the viewing.

Viewers should not touch any surfaces or doors. Agents will open doors wearing gloves, which will be safely disposed of after the viewing.

Following the viewing, any surfaces that have been touched or potentially contaminated should be wiped down with sanitiser by the homeowner or agent.

All PPE will be safely disposed of after each use.

Market Appraisal Appointment Policy in line with Government guidelines

No valuations can be carried out in a household which is isolating due to one or more family member having symptoms or where an individual has been advised to shield.

Prior arrangements will be made before viewings in a household where somebody is clinically vulnerable but has not been asked to shield, such as the elderly, to avoid any face-to-face contact.

Our staff will always sanitise their hands when entering the property.

Two-metre social distancing will be maintained at all times.

The agent will offer to wear a face mask or face shield, in line with the client’s preference.

Shoe coverings will be worn whilst inside a property and disposed of safely after the visit.

Following the valuation, any surfaces that have been touched or potentially contaminated should be wiped down with sanitiser by the homeowner or agent.

All doors, appropriate cupboards, garage doors, windows etc are to be opened by the owner prior to the visit to avoid the agent needing to touch anything.

Our Branches

All of our branches are open to visitors by appointment. Physical requests for entry can also be made at a branch whereupon safe guidance will be offered by our staff who are in attendance.
