Roundoak Cottage is a delightful period home of great warmth and character that sits in stunning grounds of just under one acre. The house has been a hugely enjoyed family home for our clients for some time and sits in a lovely, semi rural location within easy reach of both Woking and Guildford.
The main living rooms all have a very appealing sense of space to them and are all placed along the back of the house which means that they enjoy an outlook over the stunning garden. The sitting room is a bright, triple aspect room with a central fireplace and views out to the garden. The dining room is an equally attractive room while the study, also and excellent size, likewise looks out over the terrace and garden. The kitchen breakfast room runs front to back and is comprehensively fitted out with units and appliances, while off to one side is a very useful utility room.
On the first floor the main bedroom has a wonderful view of the garden and also has an en suite bathroom. The remaining three bedrooms are all very comfortable and share the use of the family bathroom. The loft space is very large and has the potential to be converted into additional living space if required, subject to a planning consent.
The house sits in semi rural setting in a hugely convenient position within easy reach of Woking town centre and station. Woking is currently undergoing a significant program of regeneration that is seeing it take on a far more interesting and contemporary feel thanks in part to a whole collection of well known bars and restaurants that have opened up along Commercial Way. The new Victoria Square development that is due to open next year will see at 40,000 square feet Marks and Spencer along with a Hilton hotel complete with sky bar and with other developments in the pipeline, the town is only set to improve further in the coming few years. Woking station runs a fantastic, 23 minute service into Waterloo and also has a very efficient coach service to Heathrow Airport. There are excellent schools for all ages in Woking along with a number of very well thought of golf clubs, Woking Leisure Centre and Pool In The Park and a David Lloyd Health and Fitness club. Along the road are Brookwood and Worplesdon stations that give the commuter a good deal of choice and the lovely County Town of Guildford is also within a short drive of the house..
